The Beginning

Hi! I decided that since Clint is gone in Iraq now (well actually he is in Tx until Sunday) that I would start a blog so that all our friends and family can see how I am doing here and see how he is doing there. He does have his own blog page that he is going to be writing on each day (that he can) while he is there. But the more info the better, I guess! :)
So far Clint has been gone for 2 days and I have been noting but busy! After we spent a wonderful day and night in Kansas City at the Avalon for my birthday I took him bright and early to the airport for his flight to Denver then Houston. After he boarded the plan I headed over to Lee's summit to see his grandma and for a birthday lunch. On the way to Lee's Summit I couldn't resist driving by our old house outside of Liberty. Everything there looked about the same as it did when I left it over a year and a half ago. Wow! I can't believe we have been in Abilene so long! Marge (Clint's grandma)treated to one of my all time favorite restaraunts, Cheese Cake Factory!! Yum!! :)
On my way back home I stopped in Manhattan and had a (another) birthday dinner with my brother at Huhot (another favorite!). It was just the two of us and it was really nice! :) Then finally I stopped at my parents house for Birthday Cake (YAY!!) and some presents!
The next day it was back to work! The wonderful people that I work with at the hospital threw me a suprise birthday potluck and even had Cake (YAY!) Work has been busy busy busy! I just can't seem to catch up with everything! I could really use at least 1-2 days off to catch up on all my school paperwork and then another week to get my house back in order!
Tomorrow (Valentine's day) I have a nice dinner at the Kerby House planned with my parents! Its nice to have someone to hang out with! :)
Tucker has been geing a good puppy for me since Clint's been gone. He hasn't been stealing anything (too much) the past couple nights.
Well, that pretty much sums up the past couple of days! As you can see, so far I haven't had much time to really dwell on the fact that Clint is gone. I guess that is a good thing! Who knows what tomorrow will bring though??
